Bush Adventures Tented Camp is located in the Il Ngwesi Community Conservancy, in northern Laikipia, close to Nanyuki and Isiolo Towns. The camp sits in the shade of soaring acacia trees, on the riverside in the Il Ngwesi Community Conservancy.
Bush Adventures Tented Camp is a 5-6 hours scenic drive from Nairobi. If you prefer to fly, there are scheduled flights from Nairobi to Lewa Downs Conservancy, or charter a plane to Tassia. A transfer from Lewa Downs to the camp takes about a 2-hour drive, while from Tassia it takes 45 minutes.
Il Ngwesi Community Conservancy neighbors Lewa, Borana, and Lekurruki and covers 16,500 hectares and is home to the Il Lakipiak Maasai – ‘people of wildlife’.
Wildlife seen here includes lion and leopard (shy and hard to see), commonly seen animals include Elephant, Impala, Waterbuck, Greater, and Lesser Kudu, Dik, Gerenuk, Eland, Common, and Grevy Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe often in large numbers, Rock Hyrax, Vervet Monkey, Baboon, and Warthog. Cheetah, Jackal, Spotted, and Striped Hyena.
Bush Adventures Tented Camp has 4 luxury Safari tents with four-poster beds, a private bathroom and hot shower, a balcony/ patio, hidden in the thicket, and great views. We want you to stay close to nature without being removed from the essentials.
Each luxury tent sleeps 2 people, with a maximum of eight guests in the whole of camp.
There is a scenic mess area where guests and their Maasai hosts, enjoy meals together; often in the company of ground squirrels, kingfishers, starlings, and many other pretty birds. Evenings are spent comfortably chatting around the fire.
Families and groups of friends will love these experiences and those in search of more than just a safari. You’ll learn about the Maasai culture and get to understand firsthand all about environmental conservation efforts.
Il Ngwesi Community Conservancy activities include wildlife drives, walking safaris, bush picnics, and cultural events. The last of these – an invite to dine in the village of some of Il Ngwesi’s warrior staff – is not to be missed: expect goat meat, wine or beer, and plenty of dancing well into the night.
Make reservations at African Spice Safaris – we shall make sure that your stay at Bush Adventures Tented Camp in Il Ngwesi Community Conservancy is memorable.
