Camp Bastian Mikumi Tanzania

Camp Bastian Mikumi is a pocket-friendly camp located close to A7 main road and 10 km to Mikumi National Park. The camp is a unique tourist camp just out site Mikumi National Park. The camp offers comfortable accommodations and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Camp Bastian Mikumi offers different types of accommodation to suit all needs.

Camp Bastian Mikumi has 9 cottages and a campsite. Each cottage has a double bed with a mosquito net and ceiling fan, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a European toilet. The camp features a shared kitchen, outdoor dining, barbecue facilities, an onsite restaurant, and a bar.

Standard Cottages – The standard cottages are all located in our beautiful green garden and have a private verandah to relax and enjoy the garden view. The rooms are small and cozy and suitable for couples. Facilities available include;  One double bed with mosquito net and ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom with shower, and European toilet.

Superior Cottages – The Superior cottages are all located in our beautiful green garden. The spacious cottages have one large room and a private verandah where you can relax and enjoy the garden view. The superior cottage is very suitable for a family or a group of friends.

The cottage has the following facilities: Two double beds, and one single bed – all with mosquito nets and ceiling fans. En-suite bathroom with shower and European toilet. It’s possible to add a baby cot in the bungalow.

3-Bedroom Cottage – The 3-bedroom cottage is located in the back garden of Camp Bastian. It has a large private porch with a great view of the swimming pool. It’s a quiet place to enjoy yourself with family and friends.

Facilities in the cottage include; 3 separate bedrooms with two double beds, one single bed, and a bunk bed – all with mosquito nets and ceiling fans. One sitting room with two sofas. En-suite bathroom with shower and European toilet. It’s possible to add a baby cot in the cottage.

4-Bedroom Cottage –  the 4-bedroom cottage is located in the second garden of Camp Bastian. It has its own garden and a large porch in front of the house. It’s a quiet and private place with plenty of space and privacy to enjoy with family and friends.

Facilities include 4 separate bedrooms with three double beds, one single bed, and a bunk bed – all with mosquito nets and ceiling fans. A shared sitting room with sofa-set. En-suite bathroom with shower and European toilet. It’s possible to add a baby cot in the cottage. 

Campsite; The campsite is set in the green and beautiful garden of Camp Bastian. The required camp gear can be provided by the camp or bring your own. There are toilets and a bathroom with hot water attached to the campsite.

The area around Mikumi offers a variety of activities and Camp Bastian Mikumi is a perfect base for you to explore the many beautiful sites of the Southern Circuit in Tanzania ie. Visit the Mikumi National Park or any other National Park in Tanzania. Other activities that can be arranged include; biking excursions, farm visits, different village tours, canoeing, etc.
