Carnivore Restaurant Dining Experience Nairobi Tour
Carnivore Restaurant Dining Experience Nairobi Tour: Experience Nairobi’s most exotic meal at The Carnivore Restaurant, choosing between an all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner in a garden setting.
Carnivore Restaurant, located around 5 miles (8 km) from Nairobi’s city center, is not for the light eater, but rather an indulgent “Nyama Choma” dining venue where you sample an abundance of varied juicy meats roasted over a charcoal fire that is piled on your plate until your stomach is beyond full.
They offer a variety of juicy meats roasted over a charcoal fire, including Ostrich, Crocodile, Camel, Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, and more, depending on what’s available that day. Delicious side dishes that complete this African cuisine include salads, soups, vegetable dishes, and authentic sauces, as well as desserts and Kenyan coffee.
This dining experience is enhanced by the informal house cocktail, the ‘Dawa’ (Medicine in Swahili), which hydrates, refreshes, and sharpens your palate for every delicious bite. The restaurant is famous for its variety of meats, but it also has options for vegetarians. Vegetarians are well catered for and in an all-eat-as-much-as-you-can setting.
The tour begins with a pick-up at approximately 1800 hours from your Nairobi hotel, followed by a short transfer (3 miles) to the Carnivore Restaurant. Upon your arrival, you will be ushered to your seat to begin your feast. First comes the soup of the day, before a sizzling cast-iron plate is placed in front of you, along with a plate of home-baked brown bread and butter.
An army of carvers wearing zebra-striped aprons and straw hats then move from table to table carrying the Masai swords laden with different prime meats, deliberately carving unlimited amounts onto the sizzling, cast-iron plates in front of you.
Meats available include leg of beef, ostrich, leg of lamb, pork spare ribs, crocodile, chicken wings, pork sausages, beef sausages, and more. Accompanying the meat feast are a wide selection of salads and vegetable side dishes, along with a variety of sauces, arranged on a 2-tiered revolving tray at the center of the table.
Stop the circulation of meat to your table by lowering the white paper flag that is on top of the central tray. Next, enjoy dessert and coffee to top off your meal. The driver will return you to your Hotel at the end of your meal.
