Chem Chem Lodge Tarangire Tanzania

Chem Chem Lodge Tarangire Tanzania is a sophisticated, eco-luxury camp situated in a private concession, Burunge Wildlife Management Area, which lies between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara. The Chem Chem airstrip is available for private charters and scheduled flights and is easily connected with other safari airstrips and airports.

The lodge is located on the edge of the stunning Lake Manyara around a 45-minute drive from the northern entrance to the wildlife-rich Tarangire National Park and about the same to the southern entrance to Manyara National Park. 

Tarangire National Park is home to one of the largest Elephant Populations in East Africa while Lake Manyara offers its sparkling waters rich in pink clouds of Flamingo.

The privately-owned lodge promises guests a quiet retreat with excellent levels of service. Tucked away on the western side of the concession, the lodge is small, comprising of 8 tented suites (including 1 family suite) tastefully decorated with Luxurious bathrooms including both indoor and outdoor showers and a comfortable bathtub. 

The décor is classically chic, featuring dark wood, earthy colors, and natural fibers combined with an elegant design. Private wooden decks fringed by palm trees open out onto beautiful lake views.

The permanent structure of the Lodge’s main house reflects the form of a flamingo with its wings spread wide for landing. One wing holds the full-service gourmet restaurant and an outside fireplace, the other wing offers a bar, lounge, fireplace, and fully stocked library.

Enjoy a romantic dinner in the brush or experience fusion cuisine in the dining room and then end the day watching the sunset outside on the sundeck overlooking the stunning panoramic views.

Other lodge facilities include; Swimming pool, Gym facilities, spa treatments & Wi-Fi is available in the main areas and in all suites. In-room amenities include fans, mosquito nets, in-room safe, hairdryer, telephone, and Yoga mats.

Activities at the lodge include; Sundowners on the shores of Lake Manyara, Flamingos on Lake Manyara, Walking with the Maasai, ballooning, game drives, and sumptuous dinners romantically served in different locations each evening.
