Crater Forest Tented Camp Karatu Tanzania

Crater Forest Tented Camp is a small tented camp located on a highland coffee plantation bordering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a 10-minute drive from Karatu, Tanzania, and close to the Ngorongoro Crater.

Crater Forest Tented Camp Karatu Tanzania has 15 large tented rooms under thatch with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, flush toilet, wash hand basin, soap, towels, and bottled water.

The rooms are all set on highly raised platforms offering some magnificent views over the Ngorongoro Forest. From your veranda, you can enjoy romantic sundowners or watch wildlife, like elephants, roaming through the dense forest, and hear the lions roar.

The Private verandas have views over the expansive Ngorongoro Forest. The restaurant and bar serve an excellent mix of African and international cuisine, using fresh locally grown vegetables. Crater Forest Tented Camp is a great base from which to see all Ngorongoro attractions and engage in various safaris or tours.

Notes

* Day rooms are available and can be used between the hours of 11 AM and 6 PM
* Christmas Supplement 24, 25, 26, 31 December, and 1 January – 25 US Dollars Per Person
* The latest check-out time is 6 PM. A room can be shared by a maximum of 4 people for showering, etc
* Guests should be aware that there may be inadequate hot water for all four persons due to the water heaters being individual to each cottage

* Children aged 0 to 3 years are free of charge
* Sharing with 1 adult –  50% of the adult per person double rate
* Please note – the children who are free of charge will be charged for fees & taxes – 1.50 US Dollars
* Not sharing with adults – 1st child full rate, subsequent children 50% of adult per person double rate
