Location & Accessibility

The camp is located on the eastern edge of Tsavo East National Park, close to Sala Gate, and sits directly along the Galana River, one of the park’s most vital lifelines for wildlife.

How to Get There

By Road: From Malindi: Approx. 3 hours (130 km), making it one of the best safari getaways from the coast. From Nairobi: Approx. 6–7 hours via Sala Gate (not the usual Voi entry), recommended only with a 4×4 vehicle. From Mombasa: Around 5 hours, depending on road conditions and route taken.
By Air: The nearest airstrip is Sala Airstrip, a short 10–15 minute drive from the camp.  Charter flights can be arranged from Nairobi or Mombasa. Camp staff provide pickup and drop-off services upon request

Accommodation

Doa Doa Safari Camp is intentionally small and exclusive, with just a handful of well-spaced safari tents, ensuring peace, privacy, and personalized service. Doa Doa Safari tented camp consists of 5 spacious and comfortable raised en-suite tents with a view of the River Galana, and is built in African traditional style with grass thatched roofs. 

Each Room has an en-suite bathroom with flushing toilet, hot & cold showers, beds wrapped with mosquito nets, tables, wooden chairs, a work desk, and bottled water. The safari tents have a sitting area, veranda, and wooden balcony overlooking the great views of the river, wildlife, and surrounding areas. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds, containing queen-sized beds.

Doa Doa Safari Camp has tents, standard rooms, and bungalows. Each is fitted with air conditioning, a mosquito net, a safety deposit box, a closet, a work desk, and a furnished patio. The bathrooms are en-suite with a shower and flush toilet. The bungalows accommodate up to 4 guests each.

There is an onsite restaurant that serves local and international meals. Guests can dine in the dining area or in outdoors. The well-stocked bar serves a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks. The camp has a massage room where guests can relax bodily and mind rejuvenation.
