Ecoscapes House Korongo Bay, Lake Naivasha is a lovely 4 bedroom farmhouse with a swimming pool and lovely garden overlooking the botanical gardens and the Ecoscapes wildlife sanctuary.

The sanctuary is teeming with a wide variety of wildlife. The house is located on the far western shore of Lake Naivasha near Crater Lake on the edge of Korongo Bay.

The house is approximately two and a half hours drive from Nairobi, 45 minutes from the Moi South Lake turn-off or the Moi North Lake Road. The house is a short walk/drive away from Korongo Bay where it has its own jetty. You can book boat rides with a local operator. There is a private airstrip that guests can use.

Downstairs there is an open plan cozy sitting room with a fireplace and a dining area overlooking the garden. The comfortable veranda overlooks the garden, swimming pool, and game sanctuary. The kitchen is located at the back of the house.

There is a stand-alone guest loo and a spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom also on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two large rooms, one with a double bed, the other with 2 twin beds. There is also a smaller room with 2 single beds. There is one bathroom upstairs.

Feel free to walk around the farm and see our small organic vegetable market garden. You can buy fresh vegetables from us during your stay. You can walk around the game sanctuary with our wildlife guide but please be aware of buffalo and hippos. We do not take any responsibility for injuries by wildlife.

Our staff will be available throughout your stay to help. We are only a phone call away, should you need to get hold of us. We have 2 ladies working in the house who can do basic cooking and they live on the property. There is good security with day and night guards.

Lake Naivasha has a surface area of 139 square kilometers and an average depth of 6 meters. It is stocked with black bass, tilapia, and carp and there is a thriving fishing industry around the lake. The lake is at the highest elevation of the Kenya Rift Valley at 1890 meters (6200 feet) so the days are warm and the nights are pleasantly chilly.

The Lake Naivasha Riparian Association received the Ramsar Wetland Conservation Award for its conservation efforts regarding the lake which is a renowned Ramsar site. The lake is in the heart of the Great Rift Valley and is renowned for its spectacular bird life with over 350 different species.

Ecoscapes House Korongo Bay Lake Naivasha activities: Being freshwater, Lake Naivasha offers a range of water sports from fishing to water skiing. 

Other attractions include climbing Mt. Longonot, Golfing at the Great Rift Valley Lodge, game viewing and rock climbing in Hell’s gate, viewing flamingoes on the nearby Oloidien and Crater Lakes, and visiting showcase flower farms and the geothermal plant at Ol Karia.

You can take boat cruises around the lake, bird and hippo watching, from our jetty, or walk amongst the game on our own private game sanctuary. Your days can be as action-packed or as relaxing as you want them to be.
