El Karama Lodge Laikipia is an award-winning, family-owned eco-lodge that feels like a home away from home. The lodge is located in the heart of Laikipia on El Karama Ranch, a 14,000-acre cattle ranch with stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife and birds.

Guests can enjoy direct views of Mt Kenya, the Aberdares, and the Lolldaiga hills. The lodge is located 42 km from Nanyuki town and 234 km from Nairobi. The transfer from Nanyuki airport takes about an hour, two-thirds of it on earth roads and the last 20 minutes on the El Karama access road. Air transfers from Nanyuki to El Karama airstrip (charter only), take around 10 minutes. It takes about 4 hours to drive from Nairobi to the lodge.

El Karama Lodge Laikipia is an 18-bed Eco Lodge built on tranquil acacia-clad banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River on the 14,000 acres, of El Karama Ranch in Central Laikipia District. El Karama boasts of abundant birds and wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, hippo, reticulated giraffe, common and Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, eland, oryx, and much more.
