Elewana Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops Lodge is a luxury safari lodge situated 98 km southwest of Arusha and on the eastern border of Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. Named after the Tarangire River that flows through the Tarangire National Park, this vast area offers an array of wildlife including buffalo, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa and over 550 bird species.

Elewana Tarangire Treetops is just over 110 kilometers southwest of Arusha Airport in Tanzania, about an hour’s drive away. The lodge sits alone in a private conservation area bordering Tarangire National Park which covers an area of 312 km community wildlife area.

Tarangire Treetops lodge lobby is huge and has comfortable seats scattered in this area, and right in the center, a pit is constructed, in a terraced pattern with cushions to make sitting comfortable. A fire pit is in the middle of this and this is very cozy, especially during chilly evenings.

Tarangire Treetops Lodge offers 20 luxury suites, built atop tree-attached platforms, overlooking the Tarangire Sand River. Each en-suite unit has a private veranda and lounge area, with sweeping views over the private Conservation area. The elevated “treehouse” suites are perched high up with views over the adjacent baobab and marula trees, giving Elewana Tarangire Treetops an adventurous and exotic feel.

Distinctively furnished blending natural materials and modern décor, the treehouses provide guests with a unique safari experience. Wildlife in the area includes buffalo, lions, cheetahs, leopards,s and huge herds of elephants, frequenting the camp’s water hole.

Elewana Tarangire Treetops also offers the unique facility of night game drives and game walks, including a Masai experience in an authentic boma. The dining area overlooks the swimming pool and a water hole which is often frequented by wild animals. It is open, and spacious, and allows an uninterrupted view of the land.

The bar is in the same area as the dining room and carry’s on the theme of the dining area. Tarangire Treetops Lodge has a swimming pool for those wanting to refresh themselves after a long day’s game drive. Some of the amenities and services include a swimming pool, hairdryer, and laundry.

Activities available include;  big five and birdwatching game drives, game walks, gourmet picnics, night drive safaris, cultural tours, Hot-air Ballooning, and walks (guided).
