Emboo River Camp Masai Mara

Emboo River Camp is a mid-range accommodation (3-star lodge) located along the river bend of Talek in the south of Kenya within the famous Masaai Mara Game Reserve. The camp is situated in the center of the park and in the perfect spot for a wide range of wildlife roaming around the camp since it’s not fenced. 

You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close Olkiombo airstrip then 20 minutes to be transferred to the lodge.

Emboo River Camp consists of over 10 comfortable stylish en suite safari tents all with a view of Talek River. The camp offers king twin, doubles, individual beds (single), and family rooming options. Each tent is well elevated with a raised platform decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, inside hot and cold showers, dressing tables, mosquito nets, Deck chairs, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water in the rooms, and many others. 

All tents have a sitting area, veranda, and private balconies with a vanity deck that gives great views over the pool, Mara plains, wildlife species, and surrounding areas.  There are cracking fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share more experiences about their safaris and also provide warmth to visitors during cold nights.

Emboo River Mara camp services and facilities include a restaurant that serves different cuisines both international (vegetarians and non-vegetarians) and Kenyan cuisine to meet guests’ choice;  buffet breakfast, picnic lunch, and dining areas that serve both in and outdoor diners.

There is a fully-stocked bar and lounge with a variety of refreshments both, local cocktails, wines, spirits, and international beers. One can relax and sip the cocktail while overlooking the stunning breathtaking views of the pool, Mara plains, wildlife, and the surrounding area. There is a bluewater swimming pool that cools off the hot Mara afternoon with the view of the wilderness and animals roaming around the camp. Wifi is available at the camp.

Activities available from Emboo River Camp include; game drives, swimming, spa treatments, bush walks, Maasai Warrior training, planting trees, Cultural Excursions to a Maasai Village, and Maasai dances.
