Gamewatchers Adventure Camp Ol Kinyei

Gamewatchers Adventure Camp is a safari camp situated in a grove of Acacia trees within the exclusive 17,500-acre Ol Kinyei Conservancy in Masai Mara. The Conservancy is a wilderness set aside as a wildlife sanctuary with a wide variety of species including all the big cats. The area has open plains, forests, rivers, and stunning views.

Ol Kinyei has some of the finest wilderness that the Mara Serengeti ecosystem has to offer. This is a pristine wilderness with open Savannah plains, riverine forest, springs, streams and rivers, rolling hills, and spectacular views across the Mara.

The camp is located approximately 250 km from Nairobi, 4 hours’ drive by road. The camp can also be accessed by air, with daily scheduled flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the nearby Naboisho Ol Seki Airstrip. 

Gamewatchers Adventure Camp Ol Kinyei has 9 small dome tents which accommodate 2 people (or can fit one child with 2 adults), each tent insect-proof and has its own private bathroom in a cubicle located immediately behind the tent with a flush toilet, washbasin, and safari shower.

The small domed tents are 6 feet high and 10feet x 10feet square, simple but brilliant, and with glorious views across the wildlife-rich conservancy and open plains, forests, and rivers, you certainly don’t need much more.

Clients bring their own sleeping bag and a towel (or these can be hired at a small fee) and sleep on comfortable mattresses on the tent floor. Pillows are provided. The camp has staff on-site 24 hours per day and all their services are included in the price.

The camp service staff do all the work associated with camping, like washing up, heating water for showers, doing the cooking, serving the food, and the daily housekeeping of cleaning the tents and bathrooms. The camp is hosted by the safari guide, who is a professionally qualified guide.

There is a dining tent where guests can relax and come together for meals. The meals are of high quality using the best fresh ingredients. The camp bar is fully stocked and has both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including wine, beer, and soft drinks.
