Garoda Resort Watamu Indian Ocean is a beach resort located in Watamu, overlooking the Stunning Beach of Watamu Marine Park, 20 Miles South of Malindi and 60 Miles North of Mombasa. Watamu is a beach Resort on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. The resort lies on a small headland, between the Blue Lagoon and Watamu Bay. By Air, Malindi Airport is the closed entry point.

Watamu Marine National Park is considered one of the best snorkeling and diving areas on the coast of East Africa. The name “Watamu” means “sweet people” in Swahili. The name came from the fact that Arab slave traders used to distribute sweets to entice the local population before taking them as slaves.

Garoda Resort Hotel is located in Watamu which is 120 kilometers north of Mombasa and 28 kilometers South of Malindi. At Gede, which is on the main Mombasa Malindi road, you turn towards the Indian Ocean. 11 kilometers from the main road is Watamu itself. The Watamu beach road is about 10 kilometers from North to South where it ends at the mouth of Mida Creek.
