Gorilla Heights Lodge Bwindi Uganda

Gorilla Heights Lodge is a luxurious eco-friendly accommodation facility located in Kisoro, about 30 minutes drive from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and 10 a minute walk from the starting point of gorilla tracking and gorilla habituation.

The lodge occupies the axis of Nkuringo, a gently sloping hill that soars at cloud level, sitting at 2,100 meters above sea level. The horizon, as seen from the lodge, hovers over the park’s forest canopy, creating a surprising blend of a blue & green-hued skyline.

Gorilla Heights Lodge is located in the Kisoro district and can be reached by road or by air. It takes about 10 hours to reach there by road from Kampala or Entebbe and about 7 hours from Kigali. By air; From Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi Airstrip to Kisoro, it takes about one and a half hours to arrive at the Kisoro Airstrip and about 40 minutes to drive to the lodge.

Gorilla Heights Lodge Bwindi Uganda has 15 spacious cottages(1 Family, 5 Deluxe, and 9 Standard cottages). All the cottages have an uninterrupted panoramic view of the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Guests can watch the sunrise over the canopy while enjoying a hot cup of coffee.

All cottages are delicately woven with modern architecture and African design, to create the ultimate blend of luxury. Each cottage is complete with its balcony, private shower, WiFi system, warmer, fridge, indoor living space, and a kitchen set up with a dedicated tea unit.

The rooms are spacious consisting of large comfortable beds, chairs and tables, and wide glass doors that allow in enough light. Guests who stay in the family and deluxe cottages can choose to prepare their own meals from the private in-built kitchens and dine from their private dining area in the room.

The lodge is a one-stop property with a fully-fledged health club, heated swimming pool, indoor and outdoor restaurant, curio/gift shop, & canopy bar. There is also a Spa that offers steam, sauna, and massage treats that is focused on emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental therapy.
