Kampala 1 Day Trips - Horseback Riding Jinja Tour

Our horseback riding day tour in Jinja takes place along the River Nile in Uganda, about a 15-20-minute drive from the Jinja town centre. Jinja City is located in southeastern Uganda, approximately 87 km by road east of Kampala.

On our 1-day horseback ride, you will see real Uganda, which includes not only the stunning beauty of the River Nile and rural areas but also the village homes, workplaces/trading centres, and the lives of people who live around the area.

You may be lucky and see wildlife (birds and monkeys on our rides), but our tours are not wildlife safaris; they are a snapshot of real-life Africa in the 2020s, including both positive and negative aspects. All our rides finish with a stunning 1km trail along the Nile.

We do prefer bookings so horses and guides are available when you arrive.  Horseback riding in Jinja is available daily between 10 am and 4 pm, and we also accept on-demand bookings outside these hours. We provide multiple guides on our trips to accommodate those who want to go faster and to allow others to stay within their comfort zone.

Please note: We have a strict 85kg rider weight limit for introductory safaris and an 80kg limit for longer rides. At the time of booking, please provide the following information: ride time (morning or afternoon), name, email address, ride duration (1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours), number of riders, and whether you need transport from Jinja or Kampala.

Horse Riding in Jinja, Uganda

Horse Riding in Jinja, Uganda tour: We offer fabulous horseback riding trips around the source of the world’s longest river, the River Nile, in Jinja, Uganda.

The views are spectacular, and there are a multitude of bird species, monkeys galore, and if you are really lucky, some of the more elusive animals, like mongoose and antelope.
