Kananga Special Tented Camp is a luxury camp located in Seronera in the heart of Serengeti National Park. Hidden in an enclave, surrounded by spectacular views and abundant wildlife, our special tented camp sits at the foot of the Banagi hills, overlooking a beautiful savannah resplendent with the emblematic East African Thorn trees.

The camp has 2 different types of accommodations (Classic Tents & VIP Tents). The Classic Tents comprises twin beds, dressed in the finest Indian cotton, warm duvet, and Masai blankets, the classic tent is furnished with carpets, bedside tables, and luggage racks.

Ambient LED reading lights are provided by the camp’s solar energy facility. An en suite toilet & open-air shower,  as well as your very own veranda,  are standard, allowing you privileged views of the surrounding wildlife from the comfort of your own tent.

The VIP Camp comprises 4 VIP Savannah Tents (9m x 3m) with twin or double beds dressed in the finest traditional Indian cotton, warm duvet, and Masai blanket, furnished with carpets, bedside tables, and luggage racks.

En suite open-air shower and toilet and your very own veranda are standard for each tent, in addition to ambient, LED reading lights provided by the camp’s solar energy facility. The camp is ideal for families or friends who wish to share their tent (maximum 3 persons).

It is also ideal for those who decide to take their tented camp experience a bit further and enjoy the exclusive services of a VIP chef and attendant waiters with an all-inclusive VIP meal. Besides the larger tents, VIP Camp owns its dedicated Mess Tent.

Each Mess Tent is unique to that particular camp; i.e. guests staying in our Classic Camp will share this communal area with 10 other Classic Tents and our VIP guests with a maximum of 5 other VIP tents.

All Mess Tents offer a dining area where our friendly staff will be happy to cater to your every need, as well as a chill-out area where you can peruse our small library, recharge cameras, mobile phones, or laptops, and enjoy our bar service whilst you soak up the spectacular atmosphere.

Activities available from Kananga Special Tented Camp include; game drives, walking safaris, hiking, Balloon Safaris, etc.

Kananga Special Tented Camp Serengeti Accommodation Rates Per Night;

Accommodation on Full Board Basis + Value Added Tax 18%; Catering Levy of 1% (per person per night)

Notes

* For East African Citizens deduct 25% from the non-resident rate
* For East African residents deduct 10% from the non-resident rate
* Should the government increase taxes or introduce new taxes, the company reserves the right to modify the rates
* Daily private hire of 4×4 vehicle – 280 US Dollars/ day Driver & Fuel Included. Please note safari vehicles are subject to availability

Children and Families

* Children under 5 years old: free of charge
* Children aged 5-16 years: 50% discount on the adult rate
* Children aged 0-16 years old must share a tent with an adult
* Family rooms are available (upon request) in the VIP camp: maximum 4 guests (or 4 plus 1 infant) with at least one child of 5-16 years in the party
