Katavi Wildlife Camp Katavi National Park Tanzania is a tented safari accommodation set on the edge of the Katisunga plain on the banks of the Katuma River in Katavi National Park, Tanzania. The Camp is set amongst the trees that fringe the Katisunga plains, where the Katuma River drains the Katisunga plain.

Katavi Wildlife Camp is owned and run by the Fox family therefore known as ‘Foxes’ Camp’, or ‘Foxes Katavi Wildlife Camp. The Katuma River is just close by, and a daily parade of animals passes in front of the camp on their way to drink. Just a great location right amongst the action!

Katavi Plains National Park is universally recognized as one of the few truly remote and untouched areas of Tanzania’s immense conservation areas. This is primarily due to its position in the far southwest of the country and the associated cost and time involved in reaching the park. The park has really gained recognition for its beauty and the quality of its game viewing.

By car – Driving is generally not recommended, as it is very remote and the roads are challenging. By air – There are weekly scheduled flights to the nearby Katavi airstrip. Chartered flights can also be arranged.
