Kiboko River Camp Tsavo East National Park is an exclusive tented camp in the Kenyan savannah. Located on the banks of the Galana River, at the gates of the Tsavo National Park, it has been completely redesigned, renovated, and furnished by the new Italian owners according to the principles of eco-sustainability and the elimination of all architectural barriers.

The Tsavo East is located halfway between the coast and Nairobi, in an area that was once called the Taru Desert. It is most famous for its larger mammals, mainly the huge herds of “red” elephants. The ground in Tsavo is a deep red color and the elephants often cover themselves in dust making them a deep red color.

It is the first lodge accessible to disabled people, proud to be a NO ONE STEP CAMP, completely wheelchair-friendly, ensuring that all adventurers, regardless of mobility, have access to the wonders of nature. Kiboko River Camp welcomes you with its green areas, which are also guaranteed by the drinking water hole present in the camp. It is a truly important element that guarantees the beauty of this little paradise.

Immersed in one of the most iconic settings of the Galana River valley, Kiboko River Camp is increasingly in symbiosis with the river, which gives the entire coastal hinterland unforgettable landscapes and the survival of thousands of wild animals. The landscape is not very varied in Tsavo East.

The most scenic area is along the Galana River, which flows year-round and offers a corridor of lush vegetation amidst an often harsh and arid landscape. Kiboko is located here, a place of relaxation and undoubted beauty. Kiboko River Camp is equipped with an infinity pool that affords a thrilling view of the Galana River. From majestic wildlife sightings to the serene flow of the river, the camp offers an unparalleled connection to the earth’s most raw and beautiful scenes.

The accessible remote swimming pool chair ensures that all guests can enjoy the stunning infinity pool overlooking the Galana River.
Everyone can immerse in the beauty and tranquility of the African surroundings because at Kiboko everyone has a place by the water.

Kiboko has been designed down to the smallest detail to allow everyone to access every corner of the camp, easily and safely.
The wide and comfortable paths, built using local stones, are ideal for moving throughout the camp so that everyone can fully enjoy the place. The immense Tsavo East Natural Park awaits you with their breathtaking views. Everyone can enjoy this unforgettable adventure because Kiboko River Camps jeeps are equipped with ramps to allow guests with disability to access the vehicle using their wheelchair, at every moment of their stay.

Everything at Kiboko expresses elegance and comfort, but the real luxury is to stand by a river that has flowed the same for thousands of years. Galana River will accompany every moment of your day and the song of the water will lull you gently, in this timeless place.

Kiboko River Camp is made up of six exclusive, elegant, and spacious tents with brick bases, all cared into the smallest details. Special and embellished with a private veranda overlooking the river, each tent offers priceless and exciting views at any time. The tents are all positioned overlooking the river. The large verandas provide the opportunity to have breakfast, lunch, or a drink in absolute intimacy, and are equipped with sunbeds for relaxing. In addition to resting and enjoying a drink
between one safari and another, it is easy for guests to admire elephants crossing the Galana River.

It is incredible to think that you are only an hour and a half from the seaside resorts, reachable with the comfortable asphalt road
that can also be traveled with a non-off-road car.

The tents are all very spacious, with a king-size double bed and two other possible single accommodations. There is a larger suite, consisting of two interconnecting
rooms, for large families or groups of friends. All beds are equipped with mosquito nets to protect the guests from unwelcome little animals and ensure a peaceful night.

Each tent is equipped with air conditioning, a mini bar, and a large, comfortable bathroom with a shower and hot water. Designed to allow everyone to access and to move easily, even with a wheelchair. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest details. The tents at Kiboko River Camp are all very spacious and structured and the huge bathrooms are equipped with all comforts, including the bidet. The sinks are designed to be comfortably used even by a wheelchair user.

Comfort meets wilderness in our beautifully designed tents. The large wooden baobab, designed for the headboard, gives the room a very original touch. Everything is handmade by local artisans. Enjoy your meal with a side of wildlife. A special mention for the cuisine, which is not usual to find close to a national park. Carefully prepared dishes and trained chefs, a great choice and variety of foods, make it a “unicum” in these parts.

The restaurant at Kiboko River Camp overlooks the Galana River with a 180-degree panoramic view of the sunrise during breakfast in the morning and the sunset before dinner. Let yourself be enchanted by this breathtaking view and the sweet sound of the river. Kiboko River Camp is an eco-friendly paradise, where electricity and hot water are constantly guaranteed by solar panels and continuous water recycling, to avoid waste. The solar panels are not just a source of energy; they’re a part of our commitment to sustainability.

A  guided bush walk with a Masaai offers guests an immersive way to connect with the unique flora and fauna of Tsavo. Meet your Maasai butler at Kiboko River Camp. Dedicated to enhancing your stay, they will guide you safely around the camp and
enrich your experiences in the heart of the wilderness.

Guests can admire hippos, crocodiles, and elephants from the comfortable terraces and tents, in complete safety. Security is ensured by an electric grid surrounding the area and Maasai keepers, who know the wildlife very well, know how to keep them at a distance, as well as protect and warn guests. In this totally “wildlife friendly” place,
a water pond has been dug to allow every species to drink.

Cameras present at the lake show zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, and even a beautiful family of lions using the water reserve. Guests can watch the animals roam freely on their cell phones, using an app provided to them during their stay.

At Kiboko every corner speaks of Africa. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest details, and everything comes from the hands of local artisans. From the bedside tables inlaid with Maasai beads to the sculpture lamps, the hand-made cushions, and the amazing floor made with stones from the Galana River.
