Kinna Cottages are 4 simple self-catering bandas located 22 km from Murera Gate and next to the Bwatherongi River in the heart of Meru National Park, 22 km from the Murera Gate. Kenya’s capital Nairobi is approximately 348 km from the cottages.

There are 4 bandas; 3 bandas have 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and 1 banda has 2 bedrooms each with a double bed. Each banda has a mosquito net and bathroom with a shower (cold water) and flushing toilet. None of the bandas has an indoor kitchen.

There are also kerosene lamps, blankets, pillows, and bed linen provided in each banda to make the guests more comfortable and at home while staying in the cottages. All the bandas are provided with: a caretaker, kerosene lamps, blankets, pillows, bed linen, and mosquito nets.

The cottages are on a self-catering basis and guests are welcomed to prepare their own meals in the outdoor barbecue and washing-up area. There are no kitchen equipment and guests are expected to bring their own. Guests have the option of enjoying their meals outside in the fresh air or taking it inside in the cozy dining room.

The accommodation facilities in Meru National Park provide a unique and enchanting experience of viewing the over 300 bird species, diverse flora, and fauna with the Big 5 being sighted in this park.

Park highlights include beautiful landscapes and views of Mount Kenya’s 14 permanent rivers. One can also view the following Wildlife: lion, gazelle, leopard cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and hippo.

Activities at the Cottage include; game viewing and picnics.

Booking Policy

* If the number of Non-Residents equals or is higher than that of Residents, Non-Resident fee applies
* Unconfirmed bookings will be allocated to those clients on the waiting list. Full payment will be required for any booking made within 7 or fewer days
* For bookings made more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of 50% should be paid within 72 hours for the booking to be confirmed. The balance should be paid at least 7 days before the day of use
