Kuro Tarangire Camp Tanzania

Kuro Tarangire Camp Tanzania is a luxury intimate camp situated on the banks of the Tarangire River in Tarangire National Park.  The camp is a stone’s throw from the banks of the Tarangire River and within easy reach of the Silale and Gursi, which is where some of the best wildlife viewings can be found.

Kuro Tarangire can be accessed by road from Arusha or Manyara, or by air into Kuro Airstrip which is only 15 minutes drive away.  Driving from Arusha Town takes about 2-3 hours. The camp is located in the perfect base for game viewing and spectacular views of the surrounding areas.

Tarangire National Park has a healthy population of creatures both big and small. The park has plenty of resident animals although some tend to migrate depending on the time of year. The most commonly seen animals are elephants, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, zebras, wildebeests, dwarf mongooses, lions, ostriches, etc. 

Kuro Tarangire Camp Tanzania is an understated little nest, woven of sisal, thatch, and canvas, designed with true bush intelligence and a sensitive heart. The camp has 6 light and airy safari rooms with thatch over canvas design, en-suite bathrooms, and beautiful bush views.

Bathrooms are designed for minimal environmental impact with en-suite bucket showers, inside and outside as well as en-suite flush toilets, Hot water is available on demand. Each tent has a seating area and verandah with chairs. The family tent offers two en-suite bedrooms and an adjoining corridor that is zipped closed during the night. There is an onsite restaurant, bar, and fireplace. 

All guests join together for dinner in the lounge and dining area, perfect for sharing safari stories. Wi-Fi is available across the camp. Despite the simplicity, the tents are very spacious and well thought out.

They have a homely feel too – and you are sure to feel relaxed whether you join other guests in the communal areas or sit on your private veranda to take in the view. The tents sit among the trees, giving you great vistas of the African bush this is perfect for spotting any passing wildlife or just watching the sun setting over this majestic countryside.

Activities available from Kuro Tarangire Camp include; night drives, walking safaris, bird watching, bush picnics, and game drives. The Tarangire National Park is home to a large concentration of wildlife including herds of buffalo and elephants.

* Night Game Drives Park Fees –Adult 59 US Dollars & Child 16 years – 30 US Dollars

Check-in – Check-out Time

* Rooms will be available from 1300hrs on the day of arrival. Early check-in will be subject to the manager’s discretion on the day of arrival
* Rooms must be vacated by 1000hrs. Clients wishing to keep their rooms for longer will be charged 75% of the room rate in the High Season and 50% in the Low Season

Children’s Rates & Policy

* The minimum age is 12 years to 21 years
* Child park entry and camping/concession fees apply for up to 16 years
* Children aged 12 years and under must share a room or family tent/room with an adult
* Children under 12 years are not permitted to walk, chimp, or fly camp due to safety reasons
* A child occupying a single room will be charged at the full adult rate plus a single supplement

Family Rooms & Triple – Family rooms sleep 2 Adults and 2 Children

*  The camp can accommodate up to two triples in each camp – the third bed in a room is suitable for up to 16 years only and we do not allow 3 adults in a triple
