The main building houses the lounge, dining area, bar, gift shop, and reception. The swimming pool offers a welcome and refreshing respite after a long and dusty safari.
The lodge serves delicious and fresh continental cuisine. Meals are oriented to cater to international visitors using fresh vegetables from the local farmers. Free Wi-Fi in is also available in the common areas.
Activities from the lodge include; walks to the shores of Lake Eyasi, cultural visits to the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and the Datoga pastoralists and traditional blacksmiths. Other activities include; Hike in the Ngorongoro Forest, Visit Lake Manyara National Park, trip to Ngorongoro Crater.
The region of Lake Eyasi, south-west of Ngorongoro, is home to the Hadza bushmen, the last survivors of a civilization that knows nothing of agriculture, livestock, pottery, or metals. They live by hunting with bows and arrows and gathering wild berries and fruits.
The Hadza people of Lake Eyasi are the heirs of the very first human beings, the kids of Olduvai Gorge and Koobi Fora who still have a symbiotic relationship with the environment, the purest example of an anarchic society with no rules, no chief, no dont’s.
