Lake Naivasha Chalets Cottages & Holiday Homes are set within the grounds of the Great Rift Valley Lodge. There are 40 stunning villas all self-contained and overlooking stunning scenery that is reputedly some of the best views in Africa. The Homely Private Chalets are only an hour and a half’s drive or a 30-minute flight from Nairobi (24 kilometers from Naivasha town and 12 off the Nairobi-Nakuru highway). 

Named after one of the greatest natural structures on earth which are visible from outer space, the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort looks over this magnificent landscape and offers the vivid panoramas of the Great Rift Valley that Kenya is famous for. 

The villas are built around an 18-hole golf course which is both challenging and exciting. With wild animals who occasionally take residence on the lush fairways, the wildlife have right of way to golfers, and all around you, there is much to see.

 Many species of exotic birds sun themselves nearby and the narrow fairways, free-form greens, and uneven terrain make the golf course extremely challenging. The 18th hole is 598 meters long which makes it the longest in Kenya.

Offering gorgeous views over the greens, ranges, and obstacles on the golf course, and the Aberdares, Mount Longonot, and Lake Naivasha beyond, charming Chalets, each uniquely designed and furnished, dot the property.

Chalets all have a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, and between 2 and 4 bedrooms. Most have an outdoor barbeque grill, ideal for friends’ and families’ vacations and reunions.

Here, among the beautifully landscaped gardens with succulent plants and ponds, the Longonot Villas overlook Mount Longonot, an extinct volcano from the Rift’s turbulent past. There are 40 villas available for rent all beautifully decorated. 

They’re suitable for an intimate get-away for couples (you can rent the villa as a studio apartment) or the rooms are available individually. Alternatively, for large parties, more than one villa can be rented to accommodate almost any number of guests.

 The villas are serviced and have fully equipped kitchens so guests can either self-cater or eat at the Main Lodge which is just a few minutes walk away. As well as the superb 18-hole golf course, this beautiful golf resort also offers a range of sports facilities including tennis, a swimming pool, a cycle hire, and a young adventurers club to keep children occupied.
