Day 1: Mombasa – Fly to Lamu Island

Lamu Island is a 40 minutes flight from Mombasa. Upon arrival at Manda Island, you transfer by boat to Lamu Island. This unique Swahili town has no roads for vehicles with streets broad enough only to allow camels and donkeys.

Afternoon at leisure/relaxing in the hotel, by the pool, or walking around along the beach.

Day 2: Explore Lamu Island

Breakfast at leisure. Fun activities to do on Lamu Island include the following: pay a visit to the Old Town, enjoy a leisurely ride on a traditional dhow, visit Shela Village (3km away from Lamu), enjoy the local cuisine, go to the Ruined City of Takwa, visit Lamu Museum, walk along the Beaches, visit the Lamu Fort, visit Manda Island, etc.

Day 3: Lamu Island – Fly Mombasa

As usual, breakfast will be served at your hotel. You will have all the morning hours to stroll by the beach, buy some souvenirs, and enjoy the last view of the island.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Manda Airstrip to catch the afternoon flight. You will be met again at Moi International Airport Mombasa.
