Lerai Safari Camp Maasai Mara

Lerai Safari Camp is a permanent luxury safari camp inside the 5,000-acre Olerai Conservancy, adjacent to Naboisho Conservancy. The only permanent safari accommodation in the Conservancy in the greater Masai Mara ecosystem.

The Camp is situated along with the seasonal Muliban River and approximately 25 minutes to the Mara game reserve, through Talek gate.  The Masai Mara is about 280 Km from Nairobi. Driving to the Masai Mara will take you about 6 hours whereas flying takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Olkiombo airstrip is the closest airstrip and is only a 25-minute drive away.

Enveloped within a cluster of acacia trees (Lerai means yellow and Olerai describes the acacia tree), there is a nearby riverine forest stream drawing elephants towards camp.

Lerai Safari Camp has 6 safari suites made from Canvas with interiors that express the beauty of traditional East African safari style. They are stylish and supremely comfortable, yet unpretentious, with a genuine sense of real Africa safari.

Facilities available at the camp include; En-suite large bathrooms, solar lights during the night, charging facilities, free Wi-Fi, safe deposit box, bar lounge & dining area. All the six tents are well-appointed and spread along the banks of a stream.

Lerai serves as a sanctuary for you to restore balance to a life that is often too busy. A good dose of Africa Time and African hospitality will soon have you feeling rebalanced and renewed.

The conservancy has the largest concentration of giraffes and eland in the local ecosystem.  Lion and cheetah move in and out of the territory but are often sighted since the Olerai plains are perfect hunting grounds. The reserve provides an elephant corridor and with lush marshland grasses, elephants use it as a feeding ground as well as a dispersal area.

This Safari Camp is truly private and exclusive, offering an all-inclusive experience and only flying-in packages to the camp.

Lerai Safari Camp activities include; guided bush walks, bush breakfast; sun-downers bush cocktails, horse riding, day and night game drives, African massage, Maasai villages visits, bird watching, hot air balloon safaris, etc.

* Child rate applicable to children between 8 – 11 years

* One adult sharing with one child, adult pays single occupancy rate, child pays 50% of the per person sharing rate

* Late departure is available at 120 US Dollars per adult and 60 US Dollars per child, including lunch & airstrip transfers. Tent check-out is at 10:00 AM, but guests are welcome to continue using the camp facilities thereafter

* 200 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st July to 31st December
* 50 US Dollars per child, per night all year (aged 3 to 17 years inclusive)
