Elewana Loisaba Lodo Springs Laikipia is a secluded & exclusive retreat with just eight tents located within the 57,000-acre Loisaba Conservancy, a working ranch in Northern Laikipia, Kenya.  It is a small and strikingly designed tented camp with exquisite, modern-leaning taste.

Loisaba airstrip is an hour’s flight from Wilson Airport Nairobi and a transfer to Loisaba Lodo Springs takes approximately 15 minutes. The camp is about 70 km from Nanyuki on the slopes of Mount Kenya.

Elewana Loisaba Lodo Springs offers an ultra-private experience with eight individual, spacious tented rooms with impressive views that reach across the magical landscape of northern Kenya stretching out to Mount Kenya.

The 8 generously spacious and airy en-suite rooms are custom-designed and bathed in natural light with large floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, polished wood floors, stylish up-cycled antique and vintage furniture in warm hues recalling the surrounding landscape, and wide verandas offering breathtaking views overlooking the Laikipia plains below.

Rooms include a comfortable lounge area with inviting chairs and a writing desk. Bathrooms are luxurious with solar-heated hot water cascading from a rainfall shower to deliver a revitalizing cleanse after an action-packed day along with double-basin vanity and flush toilets.

The Loisaba Plateau presents a variety of landscapes, from classic African bush country to riverine forests, inhabited by 800 or so elephants, who meander along with one of Kenya’s major elephant corridors.

It is a host of endangered Grevy’s zebras (the most geometrically stunning of zebras), a stable and healthy lion population, leopards, cheetahs, and 46 other mammal species—including a new and unexpectedly enthralling pack of wild dogs.
