Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge is located in Northern Tanzania, at the foot of the Ol Donyoi Lengai volcano, next to the village of Engaresero. The lodge is ideally situated next to Lake Natron, close to the “Natron Gate”, in the vast plain of the Rift Valley surrounded by majestic volcanoes.

Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge is approximately 6 hours drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 5 hours from the city. Whether you are coming from Kilimanjaro or Arusha, you will take a tarmac road to Mto wa Mbu (2 hours) and then a beautiful path along the Rift Valley from Mto wa Mbu to Engaresero (3 hours). 

The lodge has a private bathroom with a shower and hot water, a solar fan, a private terrace, and a breathtaking view of the Ol Donyoi Lengai volcano. Other lodge facilities include; a Campsite, a Swimming pool, a Restaurant, and free WiFi.

Campsite – A large expanse of grass is made available to campers. The camp is completely fenced in, so you can camp safely in the middle of nature. Camping equipment can be rented on site (tents, mattresses, and sleeping bags). Maasai security guards protect the camp day and night.

The lodge has a large restaurant open on the outside, overlooking Lake Natron and the Ol Donyio Lengai volcano. It features American cuisine. It has been built respecting the Maasai architecture with local materials.

Activities at Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge include; Lake Natron Shores, Engaresero Falls, Trek To The Escarpment Of Leparekashi, and Ol Doinyo Lengai Volcano Ascent, Trek To The Upper Waterfalls Of Engaresero River & Explore The East Part Of The Lake.

Other activities include; the Traditional Maasai Village Experience, Maasai Barbecue, One Night In A Maasai Boma, Safaris Camping Or Lodge & Experience Some Daily Activities Of The Maasais.

Below are the reductions applicable to children from the age of 3 to 12 years

* 1 adult + 1 child (3 to 8 years) sharing pays 50% of the adult rate
* 2 adults + 1 child (3-8years) sharing pays 80% of the adult rate
* 1 adult + 1 and 2nd child (3-8years) sharing pays 1st – 80%, 2nd – 50%
