Mara Big Five Camp Maasai Mara

Mara Big Five Camp is an authentic safari camp located right at the Talek river, just a few minutes away from the Maasai Mara. The Camp is located about 500m from the Talek Gate in a bush, near the village of Talek. The camp is approximately 350 km or a 6-hour drive from Nairobi by Road while flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airstrip take about 45 minutes.

Mara Big Five Camp has a total of 8 rustic safari-style tents with unbelievable proximity to the surrounding wildlife. The tents consist of Standard Double tents, Superior Double tents, and Family tents.

Standard double tents have 2 single beds, a writing desk with a lamp, a sitting area, a shelf, and a bathroom with a hot shower powered by solar energy, a sink, and a toilet. In front of the tent, there are chairs and a small table to sit outside to enjoy the sounds of nature.

Superior double tents have 1 double bed, a writing desk with a lamp, a sitting area, a shelf, and a bathroom with a hot shower powered by solar energy, a sink, and a toilet. In front of the tent, there are chairs and a small table to sit outside to enjoy the sounds of nature.

Family tents – The family tent has two double beds and one bathroom. The furniture corresponds to the double tents. Solar energy and solar water heating are available. Also towels and bed linen. Other camp facilities include a comfortable Restaurant and Bar. Meals from local products are prepared from local produce. Breakfast is served as per the client’s wish “English” and „Continental“ in the buffet.

The bar serves two types of beers and various wines as well as a selection of spirits and nonalcoholic drinks. The cozy and comfortable bar and lounge invite you to relax after an exciting safari day and exchange stories with other guests about the experiences of the day.

Activities available from Mara Big Five Camp include; Visit a Masai village, Bush Breakfast, Game Drives, Guided Bush Walks, Bird Watching, Sundowners, and Balloon Safaris.
