Mara Empiris Tented Camp

Mara Empiris Tented Camp is an established accommodation nestled at the foot of Oloolaimutia hills in Emboo village near the Masai Mara National Reserve. The camp is situated just 15 km from the Sekenani main gate and a mere 5 km from the Oloolaimutia gate on the Eastern side of the renowned Masai Mara National Game Reserve in Kenya. It is easily accessible via a 4-5 hour road journey from Nairobi City or a swift 25-minute flight to the nearby Keekorok airstrip followed by a short drive to the camp.

The closest entrance to Masai Mara is the Ololaimutia gate, only 5 km from the camp. This intimate camp features 15 spacious permanent tents which have been tastefully decorated and furnished with double beds and mosquito nets. The tents have en-suite bathrooms (solar-heated water) with flush toilets, washbasins, and hot showers all overlooking the stunning view of the wilderness and surrounding landscape. The tents can accommodate up to 3 guests and consist of a single bed, twin beds, triple beds, and a sitting area providing the guest with a cozy, friendly, and relaxing environment. The camp also has rooms suitable for guests with disabilities and a lounge with an open kitchen that offers high-quality continental-style breakfast and meals.

Note: We can also offer you a budget safari package from Nairobi to the Masai Mara that includes:  Shared game drives, Park entrance fees, Meals, return transport from Nairobi to the Masai Mara, and accommodation at Mara Empiris Camp. This Kenya Safari will be conducted in a custom-made safari mini-van or a 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for game viewing. The maximum group size on this safari is 7 guests, to guarantee each person a window seat on game drives.

Mara Empiris Tented Camp has four types of rooms: single, double, twin/double, and triple. Each room has ironing facilities, free toiletries, a terrace, outdoor furniture, and a clothes rack. Some rooms also have a view of the river or the garden.

The camp does not have a restaurant or a bar, but guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the African bush. The camp can also arrange for special dietary requirements upon request.

The camp offers various activities for guests to enjoy, such as game drives, hot air balloon rides, cultural visits, nature walks, and bird watching. The camp can also organize transport from the airport and to the nearby attractions.

The camp is located in a prime spot for viewing the spectacular wildebeest migration between July and September. During the rest of the year, guests can see many animals such as elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and more from their private veranda or from the camp’s outdoor pool.
