Mara Maisha Camp

Mara Maisha Camp is a luxury tented camp located just 4.5 km from Talek Gate of the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. It offers 40 fully furnished luxurious units complete with dining facilities.  The camp is located 14 km from Olkiombo Airstrip and consists of luxurious units complete with dining facilities, a bar, a lounge, and a swimming pool.

There are 3 Routes to Mara Maisha Camp from Nairobi:
ROUTE 1 – Nairobi-Aitong-Koyaki-Mara Maisha Camp – 5.5 hours (304 km)
ROUTE 2 – Nairobi-Narok-Sekenani-Talek Gate-Koyaki-Mara Maisha Camp – 5 hours (260 km)
ROUTE 3 – Nairobi-Narok-Sekenani-C14-C12Rekero Junction-Talek Gate-Koyaki-Mara Maisha Camp – 5.5 hours (280 km)

Adjacent to Maisha Main Camp is the Mara Maisha Private Wing which has 10 fully Furnished luxurious Tents with full-size beds (single, double & triple). The beds have soft linen, bedding, and mosquito netting.

All tents have a flush toilet and solar-powered hot & cold water shower, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, baby cots, and additional beds as required. The tents also come with 240volts power sockets in each tent, a water dispenser with Water, and 24-hour security.

The camp also has 4 fully equipped self-catering kitchens with chiller & freezer, gas, gas cooker, charcoal jiko, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, microwave, sandwich maker, bread toaster, blender, brick wood-fired pizza oven (come with own pizza bases and toppings), barbeque grill (come with your own Nyama) and chef services for self-catering.

Mara Maisha Camp’s sister hotel is the Kibo Safari Camp and Kibo Private Wing of Amboseli National Park which enjoys spectacular views of Mt Kilimanjaro – the second most popular national park in Kenya known for its large Elephant herds.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November.

Wildlife – Nowhere in Africa is more wildlife abundant. The Mara is known as one of the finest wildlife destinations in the world, with an excellent chance of seeing the big five, cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck, oribi, reed-buck and zebra.

Child Rate

* Children aged 5 to 12 years in their own room are required to pay 75% of the adult rate
* Child under 4 years sharing a room with an adult is accommodated on a complimentary basis
* Children aged 5 to 12 years of age sharing a room with 2 adults are charged 50% of the Adult rate
* One child sharing with one adult, child 50% of person sharing and adult half of the double room rate
* One adult sharing with 2 children; each child 50% of per person sharing and adult half the double room rates

Masai Mara Park Fees

* 100 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st January to 30th June
* 200 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st July to 31st December
* 50 US Dollars per child, per night all year (aged 3 to 17 years inclusive)
