Mara River Lodge

Mara River Lodge is a safari accommodation located on the Mara River in the Lemek Conservancy, about 25 km northwest of the Masai Mara National Reserve, which overlooks deep pools where crocodiles and hippos bask all day. The lodge enjoys a one km private river stretch on the banks of the famous Mara river.

Lemek Conservancy is 265 km from Nairobi. It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about  45 minutes.  Musiara gate of Masai Mara National Reserve is 40 minutes drive to Lodge.

Mara River Lodge has 80 guest rooms comprising of 78 rooms and 2 deluxe suites of two bedrooms, each having views of the Mara River from the veranda. Each room has a workspace, mosquito net, black and white accents, and a wooden floor.

The rooms are decorated in vibrant Maasai colors with bright fabrics and rugs. Timber beams support the thatched roof that keeps the rooms warm in the cold Mara weather.​

The onsite open restaurants cater for local and international cuisine and an exclusive vegetarian Kitchen. Bush meals are also catered for in the wild be it a bush breakfast early in the morning next to the river or in-house outdoor dinner in the lodge grounds.

The ViewPoint Bar and rest area offer a spectacular view of the Mara River and the animals. Guests can order a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar which can be enjoyed by the poolside.

Mara River Lodge Masai Mara has a well-manicured lawn that is ideal for outdoor activities and a well-equipped meeting room that can hold up to 50 guests. The lodge also arranges and hosts wedding ceremonies.

During hot afternoons guests can cool off in the outdoor swimming pool. Guests can also enjoy cocktails at the bar by the swimming pool or sit around the fire on the veranda watching the nightly game going to graze undisturbed on the plains.

Activities at the lodge include; hot air balloon safaris, sundowners, night game drives, and day game drives in custom-built 4×4 vehicles

* Child (4-9 years) sharing with 2 adults 60% of per person per day adult rate (in same bed configuration, no extra bed provided) 
* Private game vehicle – available at a cost of 350 US Dollars – per day (minimum 2 days min 4 Guests) and must be booked 14 days in advance and is subject to availability
