Mara Sidai Camp is a budget safari accommodation located in Masai Mara Game Reserve about 800 meters from ololaimutiek gate, on the South – Eastern end of the Mara Triangle.

The camp is nestled under a canopy of indigenous trees creating a cool retreat from the heat of the plains, the leafy canopy attracts large variety of bird life all day long and you will be gently awakened by a chorus of bird call every morning.

The word Sidai is the Masai greeting which directly translated means good. It can also mean well-being and contentment, the latter which captures the mood of the camp.

The camp can be reached either by road or by air. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 280 km. It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time take approximately 45 minutes. 

The camp has 23 permanent self-contained tents comprising of four poster single beds, double beds, twin beds and triple beds and family tents. Each self-contained tent features 4 poster bed(s), mosquito net, luggage rack, veranda with safari chairs and en-suite bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet.

The camp has an onsite restaurant that serves original recipes that capture the taste of long-gone colonial days from French, English, Italian and Danish classical cooking. Exotic traditional Kenyan meals and international meals are also served. Guests can enjoy their meals in the dining tent or beneath the starlit African night.

There is a fully stocked bar that serves a variety of alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. Guests can enjoy their drinks in the bar or in the lounge as they unwind on the day’s activities.

Lighting is provided by a diesel run generator which runs from 1830 Hours in the evening up to 2200 Hours. Solar lamps are provided in case of generator failure guaranteeing continuity in lighting. Sockets are provided in all tents for charging of digital cameras and mobile phones.

Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated game park, it offers the possibility of seeing “the big five” and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold for any would be visitor to Kenya mainly in July and August of each year.

Mara Sidai Camp activities include; day game drives, bush dinners, guided safari walks, bush breakfasts, night game drives and hot air balloon safaris.
