Mara Timbo Camp Masai Mara is set up on 50 acres plot in the most untamed environment below the Ololoolo escarpment directly in a loop of Mara River in the Northwestern Masai Mara, Trans-Mara County Council, where the classical Africa movie “Out of Africa” was filmed.

The camp has 7 luxurious and spacious bush tents (each 45sqm) with tastefully decorated interiors, with warm blends of color and unique furnishings.

All materials are natural and from the local area. The bush pavilions are all under grass thatched roofs, providing cool temperatures during the day.

Each tent stands on a 65 square metres big terrace equipped with a cozy sitting area, a swing, low bed, the possibility of private dinner and a bathtub, so that guests are able to watch the hippos in the Mara River while taking a bath.

Inside the tent is a large king size bed made out of local furniture under a mosquito net, a safe deposit for valuables, enough space for placing clothes, a writing table, a stand mirror, a bathroom with two double sinks, hot and cold water and flush toilet.

Mara Timbo Camp Masai Mara indigenous African and international dishes are served under the open African sky as long as the weather allows it.

Additionally, the Camp has three cozy restaurant islands which ensure maximum privacy to the guests.

To provide warmth to the cool Mara evenings, campfires are lit in front of these restaurant islands with sumptuous candlelit dinner as well as in front of the lounge.

Mara Timbo Camp lounge décor is tasteful with huge lounge chairs, artworks from local Masai Villages, with a well-stocked library.

After the evening safari, pre-dinner drinks around the campfire are a delight with the resident naturalist entertaining and narrating stories about the local Masai tribe.

The Bar is set centrally located in the lounge area professional barman treats guests to the most intriguing cocktails.

Mara Timbo Camp Masai Mara has a Massage tree house (spa) where guests can enjoy Swedish body massage, an indulging, professional body massage using aromatherapy based oils that has profound effects on the mental, physical and spiritual levels of the body.

While enjoying the massage guests are able to watch the hippos in Mara River.

Activities in the camp include day game drives, nature walks, sundowners, night game drives, village visits and hot air balloon safaris
