Marera Valley Lodge Karatu Tanzania is a mid-range accommodation facility located on the outskirts of Karatu town about midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, close to the village of Rhotia. Convenient to the main road, this elegant lodge has stunning views over the valley to the hills beyond.

Karatu District is located between three major natural features in the Arusha region. It is bordered to the east by Lake Manyara and to the southwest, the district is bordered by Lake Eyasi. In the northeast, the district is bordered by the Ngorongoro Crater rim.

Marera Valley Lodge Karatu Tanzania has 28 spacious cottages with a private deck. Each room has coffee/tea making facilities, mosquito nets, large comfortable beds (family and interconnecting rooms are available), a fireplace, sitting area, writing desk, ample wardrobe and luggage space plus a private verandah.

All en-suite bathrooms are complete with amenities such as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and plenty of fluffy towels. The large main building has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas with views of the pool and the beautiful nearby hills.

Enjoy a drink or an alfresco lunch on the spacious verandah overlooking the pool. Relax in the bar and lounge area with a cozy fire in the cooler months. Other amenities include; Swimming pool, a dining room, gift shop, a Spa, and Wi-Fi in the common area.

The Rosemary Spa is located in a quiet corner of the garden and offers massage and other treatments for your relaxation. The cottages are set in lush tropical gardens and a walking path circumnavigates the extensive organic vegetable garden.

Well-trained chefs take pride in creating a selection of tasty, healthy dishes, all from local produce sourced from our own garden as well as nearby farms and plantations.
