Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp Tanzania is a comfortable luxury tented camp set within a 25,000-hectare concession area, 3.5 km from the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park., overlooking a branch of the Tarangire River.  The camp is nestled between the Maasai Steppe and The Great Rift Valley, Tarangire features the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti.

The camp’s location on top of a high river bank overlooking the Tarangire River has spectacular views over the valley and river below. An abundance of animals come down to drink at the river all day, offering guests a beautiful view from the comfort of their Lodge. 

The camp is 120 km (2 hours) from Arusha, or 42 km (1.25 hours) from Tarangire Kuro Airstrip. Flights: The nearest airstrip is Tarangire Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park. Daily scheduled flights available to Tarangire Kuro Airstrip.

Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp Tanzania has 20 rooms(7 Doubles, 7 Twins, 5 Family tents, and 1 Luxury Safari Tent). All rooms are equipped with private verandas and en-suite bathrooms. Each safari tent has been built on an elevated wooden platform allowing for wildlife viewing right from your room.

The Safari Tents have 7 double-bedroom configurations while the other 7 have twin-bedroom configurations. The 1 Luxury Safari Tent has a double-bedroom configuration.

The Luxury Safari Tent is built around a big ancient Baobab Tree overlooking the Tarangire River. It has a king-size extra-length bed, and the outside deck boasts an amazing outdoor shower and bath, which enhances the romantic setting of this tent.

The family tents are built with a little more room for parents traveling with their children. Two of the family tents have been configured to accommodate a family of four with a king bed and two single beds. Another two of the family tents have been configured to accommodate a family of five with a king bed and three single beds. 

The elevated main area of Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp Tanzania is housed within a grass-thatched structure with ample space for a lounge, a dining area where traditional cuisine is served, and a game viewing deck with a firepit and views over the riverbank below.

A small gift shop showcases handmade wares made by families in the nearby Maasai villages.  Other camp amenities include; a Swimming pool, a Gift shop, an Outdoor fireplace & Laundry service.

Activities available from Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp include; Safari Game Drives, Visit to Zipline Adventure Park (Mto Wa Mbu), a Visit Canopy Walk at Lake Manyara, Maasai Cultural Boma Visit, Kondoa Irangi Rock Paint, walking safaris, night drives, etc.
