Mihingo Lodge Lake Mburo National Park Uganda is a luxurious, family-owned lodge located in a magical setting adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park. Perched high on a rocky kopje, the lodge has spectacular views over a vast savannah landscape. The lodge can be accessed through the main road which is 22 km away.

The lodge is designed to blend in with its fragile surroundings, this environmentally friendly lodge offers comfort, relaxation, and the experience of being at one with nature.

Mihingo Lodge Lake Mburo National Park Uganda has 12 luxury, tented rooms designed to provide guests with privacy and tranquillity. Each spacious canvas tent is equipped with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, showers, and flush loos.

Each room has its own unique charm and character, whether it is nestled in the forest, overlooking the lake, perched on a rocky outcrop, or down by the water hole. Although no two rooms are the same, they all share stunning views and provide guests with a light and airy sanctuary and a feeling of being alone in the bush.

The rooms have been sensitively designed to complement the local environment with great attention to detail. The doorways are framed by stunning pieces of dead olive wood found on the land. There is a dining, tennis court, and an infinity pool.

An infinity pool overlooks the valley below where buffalo, eland, impala, warthogs, bushbuck, and zebra can be seen at the waterhole.  On the rocks, you may have the rare chance of seeing the resident family of Klipspringers.  

Activities available from Mihingo Lodge include; Mountain Biking, Walking Safari, Running Wild, Game Drive, Night Game Drive, Cultural Visit, Visit to Local Schools, Boat Trip, Massage & Yoga, Mihingo Walk, Swimming, and Horse Safari. Note, Mihingo is the only lodge in Uganda that offers daytime and overnight horse safaris into the national park.

Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with Eland, impala, and Klipspringer. It is also home to the largest population of zebra in Uganda estimated at about 5,000 and probably contains the highest concentration of leopards found anywhere in Uganda. Buffalo, waterbuck, topi, and warthog are also very common.

Reedbuck and Oribi can also be spotted in the open valleys. Hyenas, genet, bush pigs, and white-tailed mongooses are often seen on night game drives.

* Children above the age of 12 years are considered adults and pay full rates
* Children between 3 years and 12 years old sharing with an adult will be charged 50% of the full adult rate
