Haller Park Mombasa, formerly known as the Bamburi Nature Trail, is located 12 km just past the Kenyatta Public Beach (nearly opposite Nakumatt Supermarket), next to the Bamburi Cement factory, north of Mombasa along the Mombasa Malindi road.
Visitors have the unique opportunity to get close to a variety of animal species through educational guided tours tailored to their requirements. Formerly known as Bamburi Nature Trail until 1999, Haller Park is a unique ecologically restored quarry situated on the North Coast of Mombasa along the Mombasa Malindi road, next to the Bamburi Cement factory.
In 1971, Rene Haller started a quarry rehabilitation drive with the backing of Bamburi Portland Cement Company. They rehabilitated the southern part of the Quarry, which comprised 75 hectares, and the northern part, which was 11 square km.
