Our Mombasa Masai Mara Fly-in Safari 4 Days 3 Nights start with a transfer from your beach hotel/ residence in Mombasa to Moi International Airport port/ Diani Airport Ukunda Mombasa. From here you will fly by light aircraft to the Masai Mara.
The types of aircraft vary from smaller Cessnas to Caravans. The flying time from Mombasa to Masai Mara takes approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes stopping at any of the eight major airstrips passengers require.
Our Mombasa flight lands at an airstrip typically located conveniently near the Masai Mara lodge/ camp you will be staying. The Masai Mara has a selection of traditional lodges‚ stunning safari camps and community-run camps.
Our representative will meet you at the strip and transfer you (with a 4×4 safari vehicle) to the lodge or camp where you will enjoy Masai Mara activities. These include game drives, night drives, walking safaris, balloon safaris, Maasai village, bird-watch, etc.
At the end of your 3 nights stay you will return by light aircraft to Moi airport Mombasa or Diani Ukunda.

Day 1: Mombasa – Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Your safari begins in the morning after breakfast, where you are met by our local guide. He will transfer you to Moi International Airport or Ukunda domestic airport, from which you will fly directly to Masai Mara. Upon your arrival at Masai Mara, you will be picked up by your guide for the next few days and driven to your lodge where you will be spending three nights.
The Masai Mara game reserve is the Kenyan part of the vast Serengeti ecosystem and, in the rainy season, is home to probably the world’s largest concentration of wildlife. You are in with a chance of seeing elephants, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, giraffes, gazelles, and, of course, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
But it is not only the diversity that makes Masai Mara unique; the sheer number of animals also takes most people’s breath away. It’s not uncommon to see herds of hundreds of gazelles grazing on a hilltop. Really something to look forward to!
Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve
The next few days are spent on safari in Masai Mara. After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to head off. You will often be out all day to ensure you get the most out of it. On such days, there will be a packed lunch for you in the cool box, which is usually consumed in the shade of an acacia tree in the middle of the savannah. It doesn’t get much more African than that!
What the days have in store for you is impossible to say! Naturally, the animals are the most important things but do remember to notice the changing landscapes, the light that changes during the day, and the multitude of different smells that hit you as you stand in the car looking for lions lying in the shade of a tree, digesting their prey from the night before.
Life in Masai Mara is beautiful and sometimes unpredictable, but this is all part of the charm, and you can never get enough of Masai Mara!
Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Fly to Mombasa
The time has come to say goodbye to Masai Mara and head for the Kenyan coast with its white-sand beaches. You will fly from Masai Mara to Moi Airport Mombasa or Diani Beach, where you will be met at the airport by our local guide and driven to your hotel.
