Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is an ecolodge located in the Musanze district of northern Rwanda neighboring Volcanoes National Park. The lodge is set on the foot of the Virunga Sabyinyo Mountain, the volcanic mountains that make up the Virunga ranges.

The lodge is about 15 minutes from the main entrance to Rwanda’s Park des Volcans, 120 km from Kigali. Driving time from Kigali takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Kigali.

Mountain Gorilla View Lodge has 25 Cottages (Twins, Doubles, Singles, and Triples). The cottages are made of stone and thatch. All cottage comes with a living area with a fireplace, All rooms are equipped with a Coffee machine, en-suite facilities, and a private veranda.

The views from the lodge and your room are amazing rugged, forest-covered mountains steaming with mist and mystery – and you will see birds and monkeys in the gardens as you stroll around and soak up the scenery. The main focus at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is access to one of the 12 habituated gorilla families in the Volcanoes National Park.

Guests at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge have space and privacy in large detached stone and thatch cottages which are scattered throughout the lodge’s grounds. The main lodge’s restaurant serves up gourmet local cuisine garnered from farm fresh produce, while the on-site bar is stocked with all your home favorites. Other facilities include; The curio shop offers a selection of Rwandan crafts, Free safety deposit boxes.

Activities available at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge include; tracking endangered Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkeys, Cultural excursions to local villages, tours of its lakes and caves, visits to Dian Fossey’s tomb, and treks on Bisoke and Karisimbi Volcano, etc. There is also a regular cultural dance performance by a local dance troop.
