Ngutuni Safari Lodge Tsavo East is situated within Ngutuni Game Sanctuary (a 10,000-acre game sanctuary), adjacent to Tsavo East National Park, 15 km from Voi town towards Mombasa. The lodge is close to Voi Airstrip, approximately 15 15-minute drive from the Tsavo East Main Gate and a short 2½ hours drive from Mombasa. Ngutuni Safari Lodge is 335 km from Nairobi. The lodge overlooks a waterhole with a view from the open-plan bar & restaurant deck, attracting wildlife throughout the day & night. The hotel is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills.

The lodge has 48 rooms built of blocks, all facing the waterhole and the endless savannah of Tsavo National Park. All rooms are fully furnished with a bathroom, shower, one double bed, one single bed, and a balcony. Facilities include dining, a bar, a lounge, a viewing deck, and a beautiful swimming pool. Ngutuni safari lodge activities include bird watching, nature walks, early morning and late afternoon game drives, sundowners overlooking the waterhole, and night game drives.

Animals you may see during your visit to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary include members of the Big 5: elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos. Ngutuni Game Sanctuary is also home to endangered hirola antelopes and a wide variety of other wild animals, from cheetahs, hyenas, and crocodiles to hippos, giraffes, and Grevy’s zebra, along with species typical of northern Kenya, including gerenuk and Somali ostrich. Over 500 bird species have been recorded in Tsavo East, including black kite, crowned crane, hornbill, lovebird, and sacred ibis.

Ngutuni Lodge is a luxury safari lodge nestled in the heart of a 10,000-acre private Ngutuni Game Sanctuary, surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park. The lodge is approximately 15 minutes drive from Tsavo’s east main gate, 2.5 hours drive from Mombasa, and 335 km from Nairobi.

Ngutuni Lodge overlooks a water hole and is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Sagala Hills. There are 48 guestrooms, each sleeping up to 3 people in one single and one double bed. The guestrooms are spacious and tastefully furnished and many of the guest rooms have interconnecting doors.

The 48 guest rooms are housed on either side of four of the two-story buildings that have 12 rooms each. The guestrooms can accommodate up to 133 guests. Each guestroom features a telephone, ceiling fan, work desk, natural-tone curtains, rugs on the floor, and a private wooden balcony with a seating area.

All rooms are the same size and have ample room for wheelchair users, though bathrooms have showers only. The lodge staff can also provide assistance, if required, for movement around the property. The bathrooms are en-suite with showers and flush toilets. The onsite restaurant serves local and international cuisine.

Meals are prepared from fresh locally sourced ingredients.  The main lounge and dining area are located in a central structure with wide verandas that serve as excellent vantage points to view the wildlife. Guests can enjoy stunning views of wildlife while dining outdoors. The well-stocked bar serves a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks.

Guests can watch animals through the night from the privacy of their balconies or during the daytime from the open-plan bar and restaurant deck. The lodge water hole attracts animals throughout the day & night.
