Nimali Mara Camp Serengeti Tanzania is a boutique and intimate tented camp set in the more remote area of Kogatende, in the northern sector of the Serengeti National Park. Nimali Mara is located about 30 minutes from the Mara River.

The Serengeti National Park derives its name from the Maasai word “Siringet” which means a vast land that runs forever, where endless plains meet the sky. The Northern area of Lobo and Kogatende meets up with Kenya’s Maasai Mara reserve and is well known for the spectacular crossings of the Mara River. The Serengeti guarantees an exceptional safari experience.

The nearest international airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport. Guests can fly to the Kogatende airstrip via a private charter or scheduled flight from Arusha airport. The camp is a 35-minute game drive from the airstrip. 

Nimali Mara Camp Serengeti Tanzania has 8 tented suites and 2 honeymoon suites that have a private plunge pool and lounge area, that can convert into a room when traveling with families. The external walls of the suites are canvas while the front is entirely glass. This is to maximize the views of the Serengeti plains and, allow guests to immerse themselves in nature.

The tented suites have fixed wooden doors, twin showers, double vanity with copper basins & a beautiful large copper bathtub, with a window that opens up into the plains. Hidden away in a small kopje, the camp fits naturally into its surroundings amongst the trees and boulders with an infinity pool set within a natural cave.

Each suite is purposefully placed to capture the best views of the plains. From the uncluttered beauty of the interior spaces to the glass wall overlooking the vivid landscape and captivating wildlife, this is a meticulously designed haven that encourages stillness and serenity.

Every suite has a private deck with a swing bed & a beautiful large copper bathtub, with a window that opens out into the plains bringing a level of closeness to nature that heightens the sights, sounds, and smells of the bush.

The lounge and dining offer spectacular views of the Serengeti plains. The natural Kopje rock has been merged with contemporary, and organic decor, along with copper fittings to create a warm ambiance. The lounge and dining offer spectacular views of the Serengeti plains and the amazing wildebeest migration.

An infinity pool is set within a rocky natural cave overlooking the endless plains, where resident wildlife frequently passes by. Experience the magic of the bush and marvel at the unspoiled wilderness that surrounds it. 

Activities offered at Nimali Mara in Serengeti include; day and night game drives, fly and bush camping, walking safaris, or Maasai cultural visits. Bush lunches and dinners or champagne breakfasts.

* Children below 6 years are allowed and free of charge
* All children stay at their parents’ or guardians’ own risk
* Children aged 13-17 yrs sharing their own room pay an Adult rate
* 1 Child or 2 Children aged 6-12 yrs sharing with an adult(s) – 50% of adult rate
* 1 Child or 2 Children aged 13-17 yrs sharing with an adult(s) -75% of adult rate
* For game packages with children below 6 years – the vehicle has to be booked exclusively
* Children below the age of 12 years are restricted from participating in walking safaris & fly and bush camping
* 1 adult sharing with 1 child or 2 children will be charged per person sharing rate and the applicable children rate
