Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel Rwanda

Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel is a budget accommodation facility built on the top of one of the hills positioning it to have the most beautiful views in the Nyungwe Forest area. The hotel is located less than two kilometers from the main highway road from Kigali to Bukavu and just 30 minutes drive from the shore of Lake Kivu.

The site can also be accessible by air as it is located at 45 minute’s drive from Kamembe airport where a daily schedule is covered by Rwanda Air. The hotel is located in the vicinity of Nyungwe National Park which harbors a number of tourist attractions including various primates. 

Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel comprises 2 distinct compartments. The main area consists of a large, two-tiered rondavel (see photo below) with a phenomenally high roof. Although a rondavel is usually a traditionally built roundhouse, this building offers a rather more modern take on the theme.

The hotel has 12 cottages arranged into two rows, one at sunrise and the other at sunset side. On each side, there is a row of six red-brick cottages ranging northward. Each of these double or twin cottages houses a lounge area at the front, with terracotta-tiled floors, a sofa, chair, and coffee table, and a fireplace that can be lit for you on cold evenings.

The bedrooms are quite sparse, furnished with a bed, hanging space for clothes, a hairdressing table, and an amazing well decorated spacious, and clean bathroom.   The hotel also has  WI-FI, a restaurant, a bar, and conference facilities.

Similarly, every cottage has been constructed with a particular view that the visitor enjoys while sited on the balcony. Thus every cottage has been named after a particular corresponding view.

Nyungwe National Park is well located as it is situated at the Congo Nile water Divide. Thus attractions including a trial denoted the Congo-Nile has been created to enable nature ventures to experience this wonder. The forest is also home to endangered bird species.
