Ocean Sports Resort Hotel Watamu is located on Watamu Beach, a small fishing village about 128 kilometers north of Mombasa. The resort is about 20 kilometers south of Malindi. Malindi Airport is about 20 kilometers from Watamu. There are 26 standard rooms, a family room, a luxury suite, and a beach house.
Ocean Sports Resort Hotel Watamu guestrooms are painted in earth-toned colors creating a cozy feel. Each features a dressing table, air conditioning, bedside tables, mosquito net, safe, and veranda. The bathrooms are en-suite with hot showers, towels, and toiletries. The Luxury Ocean Suite is a two-story room with large sliding glass doors.
The en-suite bedroom is on the ground floor with a private veranda. In the upstairs there is a seating area and balcony; fridge, kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities. The beach house has a spacious sitting room, well-equipped kitchen, and 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. There is also an ocean-view veranda and an outside barbecue.
Guests in the beach house are welcome to prepare their meals in the kitchen or have the private chef prepare meals for them. Ocean Sports Restaurant serves fresh seafood and locally grown fruit and vegetables flavored with local herbs and spices.
A wood-burning pizza oven on-site ensures guests enjoy homemade French bread and croissants. Ian’s Bar is a relaxing and uniquely intriguing beach bar where guests can enjoy a cold beer, wines spirits, or tropical cocktail.
The stunning deck with its brilliant view of the Indian Ocean makes Ocean Sports a picture-perfect place for weddings. The resort features an outdoor swimming pool, squash, and tennis court.
Activities in Ocean Sports Resort Watamu Beach Watamu Bay include scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, beach walks, mountain biking, kayaking, windsurfing, and standup paddleboard.
