Octagon Safari Lodge is a small and private lodge located twenty minutes from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Gate in Tanzania. The Lodge is situated amidst colorful and exotic gardens and provides a perfect base for anybody visiting the northern parks of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, or Ngorongoro.

Octagon Safari Lodge is located 1 kilometer after the small town of Karatu between Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. The lodge is approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha (140 kilometers) and a three-hour drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport (190 kilometers).

Octagon Safari Lodge is a family-run establishment that has been operating since 2005. It is owned by Irishman Rory Egan and his Tanzanian wife Pamela Lupembe Egan. Octagon Safari Lodge accommodation consists of twelve chalets and two stone cottages. Most of the chalets are arranged as twin beds while some are also arranged as double rooms with queen-sized four-poster beds.

The cottages are oriented for families or groups of friends who wish to share and each cottage contains a queen size bed with two additional single beds. Every effort has been made to ensure your personal comfort while at the same time we are environmentally conscious and the buildings have been planned with a strong emphasis on harmonizing the structures with the surrounding vegetation.

Octagon Safari Lodge rooms contain an en suite bathroom with a shower. The beds are extra large with four poster draping nets for protection against insects. Each room also has its own private veranda outside where guests can sit out and enjoy the sun, read a book or even write a postcard.
