Olepangi House Timau is a 3-bedroom holiday cottage located in Olepangi Farmstead in Timau. The cottage is located 45 minutes from Nanyuki. Olepangi Farm sits little north of Nanyuki Town at the foothills of Mount Kenya.
The house is set on 120 acres, Olepangi Farm has beautifully appointed cottages with amazing views over the natural surroundings and is hosted by the owners, Elizabeth and Clinton who have developed the farm as a lifelong dream to live in such a paradise.
Olepangi House is our fabulous 3-bedroom house with panoramic views north to the Lolldaigas and south to Mt Kenya. Tastefully decorated with antiques from the owner’s far-reaching travels, this is the perfect place to reconnect with friends and family.
The master bedroom enjoys its own lounge area, separate bath and shower, dressing area, and both north and south-facing balconies with arguably the best views on the property. A further two bedrooms are made up of one double and one twin.
The large lounge area is full of interiors collected from Elizabeth & ClintonS travels with a large open fireplace, separate dining area, multiple verandahs, stunning gardens, outdoor dining and fire pit, and a private kitchen with a chef. It is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend away or for admiring the views and enjoying the bird life from its private balcony.
Olepangi Farm has a new beautiful pool and pool house which will include two spa treatment rooms, a gym, a huge sunken fireplace, an eating and bar area, and sunbathing deck. The guests have the run of the farm – in particular the ‘Party House’, with its soaring makuti-thatched ceiling, which houses our dining room and bar, drawing room, and library.
In the evenings, guests gather on the terrace to watch the sun go down – it’s a lovely place to make new friends – or just put your feet up, relax, reflect and enjoy the view. The farm has been known to have the odd pajama party or even cocktail-making competition.
Olepangi House Timau Activities Include Swimming, massages, horse riding, community walks, cow milking, yoga, gathering fresh organic produce from our garden, bread making, village visits croquet, gin tastings, and the favorite option “do nothing.” Further afield, the beautiful Laikipia region is ideal for hiking, horse riding, and game viewing.
Guests can take day trips into the many neighboring wildlife reserves including Samburu National Park, Ol Pejeta, Lolldaigas, Solio and into Ngare Ndare Forest.
