Oreteti Mara Lodge Maasai National Reserve

Oreteti Mara Lodge Maasai National Reserve is a budget eco-safari getaway located in the forest of Oloirien (wild olive tree) in  Kenyas Masai Mara National Reserve on the top of the Oloololo escarpment. The camp is located near Lollgorian, a 10-minute drive from the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Accommodation includes luxury safari walk-in tents raised on wooden platforms with small deck areas for relaxing in the natural surroundings.

The tents are spacious and well-appointed, featuring en-suite bathrooms, fitted with hot showers and flush toilets. There is also a family house (House Of Hearts) that sleeps 6 guests in 3 guest rooms. Each bedroom has a hot shower, toilet, and sink. The house also has a porch/ veranda, restaurant, library room, and a living room with a comfy couch. The camp’s professional, local guides take guests into the Masai Mara on shared game drives in open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles.

The lodge is accessed through scheduled and charter flights to Kichwa Tembo or Musiara Airstrips. By road, the camp is approximately 5 hours from Nairobi. Oreteti Mara Lodge is open all year and offers guests the opportunity to see the Big Five and a profusion of other wild animals roaming the untamed plains of the Masai Mara in Kenya.  A stay at the lodge includes full board accommodation.

* Children ages 9 to 12 will be charged per child per night for half price. We do offer child-friendly menus
* Small children will use a normal bed. If a family has 4 children who are under the age of 9 years old, they accumulatively pay half of the price
* Clients are advised to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance for their period of stay giving full cover against any unforeseen incidents
* Children under the age of 6 can stay free of charge at our lodge, with a maximum of 2 children per family. There is no possibility to add an extra bed
* Rates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, changes in taxes and levies, government decrees, or items of this nature
* Flight time is approximately 50 minutes from Wilson Airport to Kichwa Tembo airstrip. Please note flight times and minimum passenger numbers are at the discretion of the scheduled flight operator and are beyond our control

Maasai Mara Park Fees

* 100 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st January to 30th June
* 200 US Dollars per adult, per night from 1st July to 31st December
* 50 US Dollars per child, per night all year (aged 3 to 17 years inclusive)
