Ruaha Hilltop Lodge Tanzania

Ruaha Hilltop Lodge is a 3-star lodge situated on the slopes of Ideremle Mountain, 100km from Iringa on the Iringa – Ruaha main road and 5km from Tungamalenga village, near the boundary of Ruaha National Park.

The lodge is a mere 15 km from the gate of Ruaha National Park which has some of Tanzania’s richest concentrations of animal, bird, and plant life. The nearest airport is Kuro Airstrip is approximately 416.7 km away.

Ruaha National Park has a variety of wildlife that includes; large herds of elephants, 10 percent of lions, Zebras, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffes, antelopes, hyenas, Hippos, and many more, and over 570 species of birds that include; endemic species, migratory species with ostriches, starling, weaver birds, Kingfishers, hornbills, etc. 

Ruaha Hilltop Lodge Tanzania offers 27 cottages (standard cottages, family cottages, group cottages & luxury Utulivu Mbunguni cottages) for solo travelers, couples, families, and groups. Facilities include an open-plan reception area, dining room, and Free Wi-Fi.

The lodge has a restaurant, bar, and large terrace from where enjoy the spectacular African sunrise and sunset. A restaurant with a view of the park serving different cuisines both international and African- inspired meals that meet guests’ choice.

Meals offered include Continental breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinner in the main building served by well-trained, friendly, and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the river or in the dining areas. Bush breakfast is also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.

A well-stocked bar with a variety of refreshments both alcoholic and nonalcoholic overlooking the spectacular view of the park and surrounding area. The viewing deck is the perfect venue to enjoy a sundowner while observing the spectacular panoramic views. Giraffes, elephants, baboons, and kudus can often be seen from the deck.
