Rwakobo Rock Lodge Lake Mburo National Park Uganda is an eco-friendly wildlife hotel situated in Ankole ranchlands surrounding Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda. The lodge is 1 km to the Sahara gate of Lake Mburo National Park, 1.5 km to the Sahara Park gate, and 8 km to the main road. The lodge is only  3 and a half hours from Kampala.

Lake Mburo National Park’s 260 km² comprises a wide variety of habitats. Rolling grassland hills, savannah valleys, woodland. Supporting a large diversity of megafauna. It is the best place to find eland, zebra, and impala in Uganda.

The lake system is alive with hippos, crocs, and waterbirds including the magnificent shoebill. The predators are mainly active at night and include hyenas, leopards, and recently lions have returned to the area.

Rwakobo offers private thatched cottages, with solar lighting, flush toilets, and solar-heated showers, which blend into the natural landscape. The cottages are dotted around the hill taking advantage of rocky ledges and secluded corners.

This beautiful thatch building has 5 bedrooms self-contained rooms each with its own en-suite and verandah. A well-stocked bar provides a range of cold Ugandan beers and soft drinks as well as wine and spirits.

The main dining area overlooks an expanse of rock that adjoins the park. Set in the pristine Ankole ranchlands surrounding Lake Mburo National Park. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the main lodge, from set menus to a buffet-style dinner, there is always something for everyone.

Activities available at Rwakobo Rock Lodge include; Safari and Game Drives, Night Drives, Walking Safaris, Cultural Experiences, Boat trips, Birdlife, and mountain biking. The park can be discovered by vehicle, foot, or boat.

Rwakobo is nestled on a scenic outcrop with breathtaking views. Animals such as zebra, warthog, impala, and bushbuck abound around the lodge and often congregate at the water hole beneath the dining area.
