Samburu Simba Lodge

Samburu Simba Lodge is a 4-star safari hotel situated in Buffalo Springs National Reserve which sits adjacent to Samburu National Reserve. The lodge overlooks the Ewaso Nyiro River. The lodge is situated 300 km North of Nairobi and driving time takes approximately 5 hours. Scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson land at Samburu Airstrip (1-hour flight) followed by a few minutes transfer to the lodge. Samburu Airstrip is 15 km from the lodge.

Samburu Simba Lodge has 7 villas that house 70 rooms and every villa has 6 rooms on the ground floor and 4 rooms on the first floor. The rooms are in singles, doubles, and interconnecting rooms, spacious, well furnished with a reading desk and several lounge chairs. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower with warm or cold water.

Samburu Simba Lodge also has the following features: safety deposit box, Wi-Fi, banqueting facilities, 24-hour room service, currency exchange, pool/ snooker, gift shop, meeting rooms, multilingual staff, non-smoking area, dry cleaning/ laundry, and facilities for disabled.

The lodge serves a wide variety of African and continental dishes that can be enjoyed at the on-site restaurant. Outdoor dining is available on the terrace which is fitted with four-sitter tables. There is also a well-stocked bar that offers a variety of soft drinks, choice wine, and other alcoholic drinks.

Samburu Simba has 2 swimming pools offering views of the gorgeous Samburu wilds. There are several conference rooms for over 100 delegates and a business center with photocopy, typing and internet access. The facilities offer ideal venues for social or corporate events.

One can see the river banks and the waterhole from either your room terraces, at the lodge, or restaurant. Expect to see Gravy’s Zebra, elephants, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, buffalo, Waterbuck, and crocodiles in the Uaso Nyiro River. Large predators such as the lion, leopard, and cheetah.

Samburu Simba Lodge Activities include game drives, Samburu village visits, sundowners, bush walks and bird watching, getting a massage in the massage parlor, and swimming.
