Sangare Gardens Mweiga Farm House is located adjacent to the Aberdare National Park in the Sangare area 3-hour drive from Nairobi and 7 km from the main Nyeri – Nyahururu highway. The lodge is 14.3 km from Baden-Powell Museum and 9.4 km from Solio Game Reserve.
There are 10 guestrooms; 4 superior rooms, 1 family room and 5 deluxe rooms. The superior rooms are suitable for family set up they are 2 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms ground floor all in 1 unit.
Each room has a fireplace and en-suite bathroom with shower and flush toilet. The deluxe rooms are stand-alone units separate from each other, all with antique and local decor to enhance homely atmosphere.
Each room features cozy lounge, private Verandah overlooking the Mount Kenya. The bathrooms are en-suite with large hot and cold rain shower cubical, 2 wash basins and flush toilet.
The family room is a combination of 2 rooms with a shared bathroom and flush toilet. There is a balcony overlooking Mount Kenya. The room also has a baby cot for toddlers. The room can accommodate 2 adults, 2 children and a baby.
Sangare Gardens Mweiga Farm House has an open plan American style kitchen which has a fridge, microwave, gas burner and a store and all Cutleries. Guests can enjoy variety of African dishes in the dining area.
There is a lounge which is furnished with an in-house entertainment facility such as the TV – stereo with a DVD player. There is also a gazebo where guests can relax and enjoy Nyama choma (barbecues)
The Farm House activities include: walk in the expansive farm as guests gaze at the cattle grazing around, learning about the lifestyles of Honi village people, sit and unwind at the Farm’s man-made dam, game drives in Aberdares and Ol pejeta.
