Sekenani Camp Maasai Mara

Sekenani Camp Maasai Mara is a tented safari accommodation located toward the Eastern end of the Masai Mara on the source of the Sekenani River. The cam is situated 6 km from the Sekenani gate of the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

The camp can be reached either by road or by air. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250 km. It takes around 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about 45 minutes.  Schedule flights land at Keekorok Airstrip which is the closest airstrip to the camp.

Sekenani Camp offers an authentic bush experience for visitors wishing to get close to nature. The camp offers a serene environment in which to relax, unwind and enjoy all the Mara has to offer.  A combination of luxury and adventure, Sekenani Camp invites you to experience the Mara.

Sekenani Camp Maasai Mara has 15 exceptionally well-designed tents set at a secluded distance from each other. Each tent is erected on a raised deck and is tastefully fitted with wooden floors, a work desk, a wooden deck with safari chairs and canvas walls along with mesh windows, and a door entrance with roll-up canvas. The en-suite bathroom comes with a standalone basin and bathtub.

The tents are separated from the restaurant and bar by a suspension bridge across the Sekenani River, and in such a way as to ensure complete privacy. The public areas are in a large tent-like structure with canvas sides that are rolled up during the day. Internet access is available throughout the camp.

In the evenings a campfire on the veranda is the focal point for guests who enjoy drinks and exchange stories before dinner. The bar stocks a wide range of international and local brands. The kitchen produces delicious fresh meals with many ingredients harvested from our own organic vegetable garden.

The camp has its own vegetable garden from where they source the ingredients for the palatable meals they prepare for the guests. In the evenings a campfire is set on the spacious patio where guests can relax enjoy drinks; unwind on the day’s events while listening to the wild sounds of Africa.

Sekenani Camp Maasai Mara activities include; bush dinners, bush walks, bush breakfasts, fishing, game drives, sundowners, hot air balloon safaris, and Maasai village visits.
