Serian’s Serengeti South Camp Tanzania

Serian’s Serengeti South is a luxury mobile camp set in the southernmost part of the Serengeti National Park, a prime position to spectate the wildebeest birthing season. Set in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The camp is open from 15th December to 1st May of every year. 

The camp is set up on the southernmost extreme of the Serengeti’s short grass plains, a prime position to spectate the wildebeest birthing season. Dramatic savannah storms sweep in nourishment and new life, Millions of gnus and zebra dominate the landscape, looking for the fresh green grass that follows the first rains and to give birth to their young.

Depending on the camp’s location, the travel time by road could be between 5 – 10 hours from Arusha. Flying time takes about 50 minutes to the preferred airstrip, Mwiba Airstrip.  There are charter flights to and from Arusha to different airstrips in Serengeti on a daily basis. 

Serian’s Serengeti South Camp Tanzania has 6 spacious and comfortable tents with a view over the wildebeest calving grounds. Each is complemented by tasteful décor that lends a touch of sumptuousness to the interiors. The en suite bathrooms include a bucket shower and a flushing toilet – classic safari simplicity with a nod to life’s little comforts.

The intimacy of this little camp makes it perfect for families or privately guided groups and can be booked on an exclusive basis. There is a dining tent, Laundry, Charging facilities, bar, campfire, 24hr electricity powered by a generator & Wheelchair friendly.

Delicious meals are enjoyed in the homely mess tent and are sometimes hosted by Alex Walker himself! Electricity is provided by a 24-hour generator, but there is no Wi-Fi here. There is a dining tent, Laundry, Charging facilities, bar, campfire & 24-hour electricity powered by a generator.
